I think differently than mainstream.
It’s what got me where I gratefully and abundantly reside.
Some may perceive my thinking as radical.
Some, crazy.
Some, weird.
BUT.
My beliefs work for me.
They support my embodied authentic success.
I built a business that honors my values and true self.
I am rooted in a solid awareness of what nourishes me on all levels, and have thrown myself into a lifetime of deliberate questing and growth to ensure I value and love myself enough to CHOOSE what nourishes me.
I am flourishing in the ways my Soul intended, and for that I know I’m giving my best to the whole of our Global family.
YET.
I can’t help but feel mightily concerned and sometimes outraged at the sneaky, progressively over-reaching powers that WERE advancing in a direction as if to say, “I know better than you”.
My ultimate and supreme sovereignty comes from deep within my body and Soul.
It is grounded in decades of intentionally unraveling and disposing of conditioning and cultivating a connection with my inner authority and Higher Truth.
Looking back, I can confidently say that every single bad decision and unhealthy situation/relationship I’ve experienced came from a mistaken belief that someone else knew more about me than I do of myself …
… from me believing the insidious, yet subtle rhetoric that women really don’t know what they know.
That our Intuition, gut feelings, womb wisdom, blood and relationship with the Earth are useless and invalid sources of information that we cannot count on and make empowered decisions from.
Well, I tell you what.
I’ve arrived at a knowing that works for me, and I will NOT give that up.
I will not succumb to the narrative that me doing me somehow diminishes others.
I will not return to the box that prioritizes others comfort at the expense of my own health.
I will not hand over my freedom under any circumstances, let alone false pretenses that keep us enslaved to fear.
So here’s the deal.
You do you, and I’ll do me. Live and let live.
We don’t need to push our preferences on each other to prove we are secure.
We don’t need to project what we think is right for another to validate ourselves.
We don’t need to force our ideals on others to ensure our status and power are not threatened.
There’s enough room for each of us to thrive our own way, to build our Global community in a higher form of love and acceptance that naturally leads to prosperity for all.
With all that I am,
Kendra E Thornbury, MA
