| With all the LOVE hub-bub yesterday, there’s nothing original about me sending you a message on this topic. BUT….. I can’t help myself! See, in just a few days I’ll be blissed out in beautiful Sedona, AZ, leading a group of women on a powerful journey of transformation and freedom. I started dreaming of offering retreats and workshops in Sedona many, many years ago. I dismissed that dream because it felt SOOO goodand SOOO alive, that I didn’t think I could have it. WAIT A SECOND! Let me say that again…. I didn’t think I could have something I truly wanted because it felt good and alive. Clearly I got over THAT craziness! But have you? ….Do you still buy into the nutty belief that you can’t really have what you want? ….That you can’t be jumping for joy every day from the goodness in your life? Well, I’m here to remind you that you CAN have what you truly want! So, what’s my secret sauce that saved me from feeling down and outdismissing my dreams to saying YES to my bliss and prosperity?? SELF-LOVE! When you start loving yourself, everything changes. You don’t put up with what you’ve put up with. Toleration becomes intolerable. You know you are worthy and deserving. The idea of not being worthy or deserving becomes a joke. Your standards for life increase. Anything less than health and wealth is not suited for your magnificence. Declare right now that you will love yourself from this moment forward.
I’m loving you fiercely so you remember to love yourself! ps. If your mind chatter is clamoring on with, “yeah, but _____________ (fill in the blank with whatever ugly wart you think makes you unlovable),” just notice it, give thanks and choose to love yourself anyway.

As I’ve taken quantum leaps in my success, and had the privilege of supporting others to do the same…
One big thing I’ve discovered (to my surprise!) is that many people are not really willing to do what it takes to make it happen!
Here’s the deal…
To create real, lasting and yummy changes in your money, wealth and business, you have to INTERRUPT patterns in your thinking and beliefs that have been running the show.
This requires you to DO things that can feel really uncomfortable.
This is also where “button pushing” or “triggers” come in.
See, when your ego, or default, (the way it’s been- even if you don’t like it- it’s still “safe” because it’s familiar) is threatened, your defenses are ruffled.
When it comes to the transformative work I do, I get many blessed opportunities to bump up against those defenses with clients.
OH YEAH!
NOTE: I consider it a compliment when my client’s buttons get pushed. It means we’re breaking new ground!
When your buttons are pushed, or you are triggered, you feel uneasy because…
Someone or something touched a sensitive place in you that you once felt hurt, and you decided to never again let that happen.
Then you go into an automatic reflex set up to keep you safe.
Make sense?
You also experience this when you are being challenged to leap into a new consciousness or way of being that is unfamiliar to you. Again, the ego and your “default” want to keep you in the security of what has been.
If I tell you some new radical belief and way of being (for instance, that you don’t have to work hard for money) that flies in the face of everything you “know to be true”, you will create “evidence” to the contrary.

Typically, when you feel resistant or defensive, you will come up with a clever way of making the other person wrong or justifying your current position in order to remain where you are. What’s fascinating is that you really are convinced of your “truth”.
What’s at stake here is the opportunity to create a REAL breakthrough and enter into NEW PATTERNS of thought and belief that match what you say you really want.
The KEY is to:
- notice when you’re feeling defensive or triggered
- embrace resistance as a great gift for your growth
- make a conscious choice about how to proceed (i.e. inquiry)
One more thing….
To consciously choose in the midst of being triggered is empowering.
Why?
Because when you choose to engage in a practice of inquiry (such as, what is the lesson in this for me?), you take ownership of reality rather than stay in a reactive mode.
You stand in your power, rather than feel like a victim (to circumstance or another person).
Listen, if you want to create the juicy results in 2012 that you desire, you will need to deliberately navigate the crunchy & messy moments of resistance and defenses.
When held in the right loving, compassionate space, they are the doorway to your greatest freedom.
So, let’s push your buttons!

I decided some time ago that I would not tolerate anything less than living my true self, being free and prospering!
While the dominate beliefs convince you that it’s “normal” to be someone you’re not to ensure security…

For me, it is too much of a risk to NOT do it.
The calling of the soul is much too precious to deny.
It’s where your true riches are.
Earlier today, I talked with a delightful woman with big visions. She’s still discovering how to express her gifts.
Like you, she’s determined to intentionally design her life around who she really is and not prescribe to some “lame” job or way of being just to fit in and be safe.

I’m an advocate for LIFE and freedom.

First, let’s shine the light on the lie… SCARCITY.
As a result of believing this lie, many of your choices have been contorted and twisted.

Hear me loud and clear….
The nature of life is NOT scarcity.
THE NATURE OF LIFE IS ABUNDANT.
Think about how you will choose differently knowing this!
When your soul stirs desire in you & you feel the pulse to do something that is alive… you will say yes.
When an opportunity opens up that feels like a response to an intention you’ve set… you will say yes.
When the urge to expand through a new experience rises up inside you… you will say yes.
Now, some of you may hear your skeptic arguing with my claims. I get it.
You don’t have enough money to do what you really want. You still feel like money determines your choices. And… let’s get real about the poverty on the planet. Right?
Yes and no.
The reason those things exist is NOT because the nature of life is scarcity, and so it’s “just the way it is.”
It’s because we have BELIEVED it is. And because we have believed it, we have created it.
Take a deep breath and feel a sigh of relief as the new reality sets in…. Abundance is the nature of life.
Notice how things shift as you welcome this truth.
There is enough.
There is plenty.

Let it be so.
EXERCISE:
Keep a journal and write down the thoughts and beliefs that come up for you that are scarcity related. You will be surprised at how insidious and frequent they are. Track this for a couple days.
The next week, write down thoughts and beliefs that are abundance related. These may be slow coming since you are so “programmed” for scarcity. After a couple days, give yourself permission to actually start creating new, life-affirming thoughts. Make them up. Choose them. Claim them.
From then on, deliberately think your abundant thoughts every day. Before you know it, those once “unbelievable” thoughts WILL become your reality.
I’m back in Washington for a stay after a mind-blowing retreat in Sisters, Oregon.
I was MAJORLY challenged.
I sat face to face with my fears in service to becoming more of my true self… & so I can be a better leader to you who are called to transformation at this time.
What I can tell you is that there is liberation in seeing your fears for what they are—an illusion stemming from a scarcity paradigm.
When I opened to the truth of love & abundance, the fear dissolved.
Once again I was affirmed of my work to illuminate the crazy-making that stems from the scarcity and poverty consciousness that we collectively buy into.

- I don’t care if you don’t know how it’s going to happen.

- I don’t care if you are scared.
- I don’t care if you buy into the idea that you are not good enough.
- I don’t care if you don’t think you can afford it.
- I don’t care if you think this is not the “right time”.
- I don’t care if you are tempted to play it safe because of the mainstream crap about the economy.
- I don’t care if your past is riddled with pain.
- I don’t care if your mind chatter is going wanky with all the reasons it’s selfish.
- I don’t care if your limited beliefs say it’s not possible.
JUST DECIDE.
Everything else will line up once you do.
(But it won’t when you are undecided.)
What I DO care about is YOU living your most alive, prosperous, juicy, break-free year yet.
It starts with you.
Your choice.
Your decision.
Your resolve.

That’s it.
LISTEN UP!
If you are serious about manifesting what YOU really desire in life… more time, more freedom, more money, more of what matters to you…
THIS is a secret no one talks about that you can adopt and make work for you starting now.
Manifesting what you WANT (because you are always manifesting– you just may not be manifesting what lights you up) requires steadfast attention.
I want to tell you something very personal.
I haven’t talked about it in a long time, if ever. It will help you understand more of where I am coming from…
I remember one moment in particular when I was in Nigeria, Africa.
I was in a village in the Niger Delta that took hours to get to by boat. We had faced a variety of dangers to get there, but our passion for creating peace persisted.
Gas flares from oil drilling lit the sky.
Children were hungry. (This is one of the girls we met in Oporoza)
Women were working to the bone to get fish from the polluted waters.In this moment, something happened.
The reality of poverty & suffering came to a full emotional awareness inside me like never before. I fell to my knees and cried.I was flooded with feelings and part of me just wanted to shut down!I knew I had a choice to make. I felt 3 alive in that moment:
CHOICE #1: Bury my head in the sand and numb out.
CHOICE #2: Continue feeling my anger and rage and proceed like a victim.
CHOICE #3: Devote myself to being all that I am & doing all that I can to eradicate poverty.
I chose #3…. DEVOTION.
And so, this is my spiritual manifesting secret.
Your life is an expression of that which you are devoted to.
The problem for most people is that you are unconsciously devoted to thoughts and ways of being that are depleting, mediocre or scarcity producing.
As you consciously enter 2012, I invite you to get in touch a larger sense of purpose, or “cause” that will keep you fueled and persisting.
I guarantee you, it will propel you into new levels of manifestation.
This exercise takes you beyond “survival” mode.
It helps you rise above your stress about money or trying to keep up with all the tasks of your business and day. You will have energy from a source that is larger than yourself (Which is really helpful in getting more done).
In addition, choose to be devoted in all that you be and do.
To me, devotion means giving myself over fully.
Make every thought, every moment, every act one of devotion.
(And when you can’t do that, just make sure you make time for it every day… cuz I know we’re not perfect.)
DEVOTION:
- Ardent, often selfless affection and dedication
- The act of devoting or the state of being devoted
- A strong positive emotion of regard and affection
- To focus on something specific and pursue this course with great intensity
- Dedicated loyalty
- Commitment to purpose
- Crusade
- Vow
- Allegiance
