Some of you have been asking about the retreat I just returned from. Here is an excerpt from my latest newsletter.
———————————————–
Well, here we are.
Just a few weeks left in 2009! Amidst the hustle and bustle of your holiday activity, I encourage you to take the time to bring forth awareness & presence. Otherwise, it’s just hustle and bustle.
Speaking of awareness & presence, as an on-purpose alive woman, I recently identified & prioritized my “incomplete’s” for 2009 (something I do with my Be Alive group every year) and I realized there was something I still needed to do.
So, here I am (above picture last Friday), on the ferry from Seattle to Bainbridge Island ready to complete something I intented to do this year. (Check out full photo album.)
The details of what I was working on in this 3 1/2 day solo in the woods will be revealed in 2010 (YIPEEEE!).
What I’ll share with you now is that I experienced a deepening in my own peace through acceptance.
I went into the retreat with expectations and after the first day I realized they were causing me strife. When I reliquished “how it was supposed to be”, I surrendered to the process. I was able to see the endings I needed to honor. So I released. And I intentionally created endings in out-dated beliefs, endings in my ties to unsupportive thoughts, and endings through forgiveness of people that I had pain about. As a result, I felt free & was able to unleash my creative force.
Don’t get me wrong, expectations are great. In fact, I encourage you to have HIGH expectations of what life can be. But when you are too attached to them, as I was, the natural flow is pinched and life feels hard.
So, dream big, take the time for you, create with the flow, and release where needed.

Peace is your natural state. Let it be so.

Peace to you & all beings.
More to come….
